Burbank, CA — The email’s subject line read “Brazzers Enlists Real Moms to Help Inspire Mother’s Day Scene,” and – though potentially hot — I stifled a yawn at the thought of more 26-year-old MILFs.
The PR continued (with embellishments redacted): “Brazzers is celebrating Mother’s Day this year with a special scene that was created with suggestions from real moms.”
A special scene that was created with suggestions from real moms?! This is gonna be a scene about watching your stories in peace while the kids are out with a trusted aunt and a professional cleaning crew (sorry dads, but your cleaning efforts generally suck) does a number on the house! I stopped yawning. This had resonance.
Then: “Brazzers handpicked a group of six moms to participate in a discussion about sex and porn moderated by legendary adult performer, Julia Ann. With Julia Ann leading the open and honest discussion, Brazzers was able to learn a lot about what makes moms tick and what a porn scene made for moms would look like.”
Ooooh. It was like a focus group about what kind of porn moms (who are somehow distinct from other women?) would like to see – seems like an odd tie-in for Mother’s Day, but okay.
The approximately five-minute video then proceeded to showcase Julia Ann leading a discussion about desires and turn-ons, with the moms each addressing the camera individually, in turn. Interestingly, the moms were never introduced, though some of them looked pret-ty familiar.
Per Brazzers, the result of the discussion is a scene titled “Night Caps,” starring Julia Ann and Chanel Preston. In the scene, Chanel Preston plays a single and sexually adventurous judge who coaches her recently-married attorney friend, Julia Ann, to do as her husband requested and sleep with another man to get herself out of the frustrations of a sex life that’s gone stale. As the fancy soiree they are attending winds down, the two MILFs find a couple of bartenders ready to worship them before they pair off and have their own parties.
I watched the trailer for this scene and, though somewhat charming and cute, neither character is established as a literal mother. So while I appreciate the interesting focus group-informed scene initiative, I’m still not getting the Mother’s Day tie-in.
Brazzers’ Marketing Director Gary Ticher explained, “Moms, or more specifically MILFs, have always been a cornerstone of the Brazzers brand since its inception, which is why we wanted to honor moms this Mother’s Day with a scene specifically for them. Not only have they done so much for us as individuals, but we wouldn’t be a vanguard of our industry if it weren’t for moms.”
Ticher praised the mothers that participated in the focus group.
“They were so frank and honest,” Ticher shared. “If they had not been so comfortable discussing this kind of subject matter, we may have never learned about how moms feel about multiple partners and how much they value attentiveness in a partner. We are so grateful for the moms that participated and we’re excited for them to see what we were able to create out of their feedback.”
Though I’m still not quite getting it, “Night Caps” will be available via Brazzers this Mother’s Day, May 13, 2018.
