LOS ANGELES, CA — They said it couldn’t be done, but the first blue movie has been released on Blu-ray DVD. While it’s not literally true that the very first ever blue movie has been pressed on the new technology, it is true that Jenna Haze’s summer release will be.Thanks to a partnership between LFP Video Group and New Media Adult Entertainment, the Haze video will appear in stores throughout the country in the new format, as well as the more familiar HD-DVD and DVD-WMV formats.

Michael H. Klein, president of LFP Video Group, LLC sees the event as an obvious one for his company. “LFP leads the way in adult entertainment and it is only fitting that we are the first to market with an adult film in this exciting new format,” he explains in a recent press release.

Klein is joined in welcoming the new technological advance by Manny Ulele, chief technology officer for New Media Adult Entertainment, which he says “has always been focused on bringing customers the highest quality adult entertainment possible. LFP Video shares our same commitment to customer satisfaction, and we look forward to expanding the adult hi-def marketplace together.”

The pressing of this title is important not merely to Jenna Haze fans but also those following the controversy over what kind of content Sony would allow to appear on its new technology. Earlier this year, Digital Playground had indicated a preference for Blue-ray, due to its larger data storage capacity. Unfortunately, the company was unable to find a manufacturer that would work with it due to fears that production licenses would be revoked.

Nonetheless, Klein assures fans and industry followers that “This release expands the Hustler tradition of breaking new ground with our video titles not only in content, but by utilizing the latest technology available so that our customers can enjoy superior picture quality.”
