YNOT – Stockton, Calif.-based dating affiliate program DatingGold has hired adult industry veteran Jeff Rosenberg to head the company’s gay dating initiative. In the newly created position of gay project manager, Rosenberg will lead the impending redesign of DatingGold’s current gay consumer product, GayAmateurMatch.com, and helm the launch of new gay products.Until recently, Rosenberg served as marketing guru for the social networking site AdultSpace.com. Prior to that, he managed a portfolio of gay accounts for Traffic Dude, managed gay advertising sales for GAYVN magazine and worked for Men, Freshmen and Unzipped magazines while they were owned by Specialty Publications.
“We are very excited to bring Jeff on board to head this new division,” said AK, vice president of sales and marketing for DatingGold. “We’ve had requests from affiliates for gay dating, but the gay market is very different from the straight market. For long-term member retention, you can’t just re-skin the straight version of your sites and appeal to a gay audience. Jeff brings the business and life experiences to create this new suite of offerings.”
Rosenberg indicated he will be making substantial changes to DatingGold’s approach to the market, including the launch of a new dating site. He promised the company’s sales team will endeavor to ensure as little disruption as possible for affiliates currently promoting GayAmateurMatch.com.
