Multi-award-winning trans performers and creators Jade Venus and Ariel Demure are a dynamic duo and the latest guests on the And Now We Drink podcast—this is hands down one of the most entertaining episodes of the year, and you don’t want to miss it.
Jade Venus and Ariel Demure’s episode of And Now We Drink is extremely lively, and the duo dives headfirst into a freewheeling conversation with host Matt Slayer, with topics that range from hilarious to behind-the-scenes adult industry tales to personal revelations and everything in between. The two good friends share candid stories about their time in the industry, including the highs and lows, as well as the challenges they face as trans performers. They discuss how they navigate the industry and their personal lives, as well as how society perceives them. Both ladies have a knack for humor and make Matt laugh frequently with their tales of unexpected wardrobe malfunctions and creative on-set improvisations. Ariel and Jade also reflect on their backgrounds, journeys to personal acceptance, how they’re empowered by their work, and living authentically on and off camera. Ariel also gives listeners a sneak peek at her upcoming parody, “The Naughty Parody,” in which she stars alongside Brittany Andrews, Jade, and an all-star cast that pays homage to the 90s sitcom starring Fran Drescher, set to release on November 26th.
“This was a lot of fun and we really kept Matt on his toes—at times, he didn’t know if he was coming or going. However, I think he also gained a valuable education on what it’s like to be trans in the industry and the world. It was Ariel’s second appearance and my first, but I would definitely love to come on again sometime,” says Jade Venus.
“I was ecstatic to do Matt’s show again. It was the first stop on our whirlwind tour of media for ‘The Naughty Nanny’ parody, and I was happy to do it. It was even more fun than my first appearance on the show, only this time I did it with Shirley Temples flowing. Matt is a great host, and this is a wonderful episode,” says Ariel Demure.
