In honor of Black History Month, HotMovies has teamed up with Lotus Lain and the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) for an Instagram Live interview series. Hosted by Lain, the series will feature twelve total live events, each featuring a prominent Black star currently active in the community today.
The series kicks off today — Wednesday February 2, 2022 — at 12 PM PT with Ricky Johnson.
“Being that there is just so much incredible Black talent out there these days, I wanted to highlight some of the creators I see making waves in the industry for Black History Month through fun IG live interviews,” Lain wrote. “There are new performers, some that have achieved top-star status, and our last interview at the end of the month, with Mr. Marcus, will even touch on a career that has been controversial.”
“Lotus is a rock star,” wrote HotMovies Social Media Manager Judy Hologram. “We initially approached her to do one interview for us and she ran with it, resulting in this exciting month-long interview series.
Hologram added, “In celebrating Black excellence on our platform, we knew it was important to take leadership from within porn’s Black community. We hope that highlighting Lotus’ voice and others will spark important conversations in the industry and lead to much needed changes benefitting performers of color.”
“I’m looking forward to hearing people’s journeys, who they looked up to and what legacy they hope to leave upon the industry,” Lain shared.
The interviews will continue every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday of the month. Featured guests, dates and times follow.
