YNOT – Although the details remain obscure, online video-on-demand provider HotMovies.com, based in Philadelphia, has acquired a new part-owner.

According to a statement released Tuesday, “National A-1 Internet, a well-known multimedia conglomerate with highly recognizable assets including Hotmovies.com, announced today that it has undergone a management metamorphosis during a recent acquisition. One of the new owners of Hotmovies.com is also the owner of Clips4sale.com.”

No financial details about the deal were disclosed, nor was the name of the referenced owner of Clips4Sale.

The two companies will continue to operate separately under independent management teams, “while utilizing synergies that will benefit both companies,” the statement noted.

“This is a very exciting move,” said HotMovies Director of Business Development James Cybert. “We welcome the change and the expertise added to our top-level management. We see a number of ways in which this can grow our sites in the months and years ahead.”

HotMovies also operates the VOD websites FetishMovies.com, GayHotMovies.com, HotMoviesForHer.com, HotMovies.jp in addition to erotic fiction website Fantasies.com and the affiliate program Movie Dollars. The company provides white-labeled online theaters to a number of adult entertainment operations, including AVN, Acid Rain, Girlfriends Films, Rascal Video, Homegrown Video, Elegant Angel, Viv Thomas, Tera Patrick and Ron Jeremy.

Clips4Sale is a division of UK-based Suncoast Productions Ltd., which also operates Videos4Sale.com and Images4Sale.com, all of which facilitate the sale of sexually explicit material by its owner or creator.
