WESEL, GERMANY — Who hasn’t felt confused by government paperwork and accidentally checked a box of filed the wrong form? Doctor, lawyer, teacher, housewife, porn legend – anyone can make a mistake. In the case of German porn legend Dolly Buster, the mistake might well put her on her local city council. According to TheLocal.de, the 39-year-old queen of cinema flesh has assured her fans that while she appeared in hundreds of pornographic videos on purpose, her legal name is appearing on the Obringhoven-Lackhausen district city council ballot entirely by accident.

It would appear that Buster, also known as Nora Baumberger – and her husband, producer Dino Baumberger – had a bit of a misunderstanding with the president of an online candidate list run by an independent voting alliance. Although neither intended to run for a seat on anything, both of their names are included in various candidate lists and there are signed forms applying for candidacy to explain the inclusion.

“I’ve been nominated by a group whose name I’ve never even heard of,” Buster explained to TheLocal.de. “I’m really irritated.”

There was a time when Buster had more interest in politics. During 2004 she ran for a seat on the European Union parliament.

Like it or not, she and her husband are running for office again. Requests to have their names removed from the two city council races they’re included in have been denied.

Now Buster is on a campaign to keep people from casting votes for her.

“I wouldn’t vote for me,” she admitted. “I don’t stand for their policies.”

Part of Buster’s concern relates to the establishment of herself as a serious artist after leaving erotic film. She worries that the scandal of running for public office might affect her growing reputation as a creative.
