GERMANY — American poet Robert Frost once wrote that “Good fences make good neighbors.” While the United States is busily erecting and maintaining a fence designed to keep illegal immigrants keen to work at high-demand/low wage jobs at bay, Germany and Poland have been dropping their border fences – much to the dismay of a dedicated band of nude beach lovers.Hidden from the delicate eyes of the Polish for decades behind one of the border fences, the sight of bare naked German flesh is now a daily offense to its neighbors, if the words of the Polish councilor are to be taken seriously.

According to Poland’s northwest Baltic coast border councilor Edward Zajac, those who enjoy time on the nude beach are “perverts” whose wickedness must stop because “undressing is a perversion.”

The German nudists, however, aren’t impressed with what they feel is false modesty and morality on their newly revealed neighbors’ side.

“This is a beach for nudists,” one German tourist informed the press. “It’s terrible the way Poles come over fully clothed and stare.”

Another female beach lover agreed, stating that “We feel like monkeys in a zoo. Poles come with binoculars, gape at us, and swear.”

Poland joined the European Union’s Schengen agreement for a borderless Europe in December, which led to the removal of all fences separating the two nations.
