MONTREAL – Gamma Films Group announced today that it has signed veteran adult director Craven Moorehead to an exclusive multi-year producing contract.
Moorehead, an AVN Hall of Fame inductee with over 20 years’ experience in adult content production, has directed and produced scenes for Gamma Films since 2013, when he and fellow Gamma contract producer Stills by Alan shot what Gamma describes as “some of the company’s earliest test scenes.”
Moorehead said he’s thrilled to nail down a long-term relationship with the company.
“After twenty years, I couldn’t be happier to be part of a team that has not only become my family, but my creative force as well,” Moorehead said. “I go to work every day looking forward to new and exciting challenges and knowing we all share a common goal – to create quality content.”
Prior to partnering with Gamma’s Head of Production Bree Mills to launch Pure Taboo (which celebrates its one-year anniversary this week) Moorehead created content for the company’s studios sites Girlsway and Pretty Dirty.
Mills praised Moorehead’s multifaceted talent and significant contributions to Gamma’s success.
“Craven has been with us since our very beginning as a production company and has been a key partner in our fast growth,” Mills said. “My nickname for him on set is ‘the glue’, because he is one of the most versatile players in the game and an essential team member. From producing and directing to his camerawork, lighting, and sound skills, Craven is a jack-of-all-trades and ready to step in to whatever role is needed. He is also one of the most dedicated and passionate people I have ever worked with, and it is my honor to have him as an exclusive member of the Gamma Films team.”
Under the new contract, Moorehead’s duties include overseeing Pure Taboo’s studio content, directing most of its episodes and working with Mills to develop new original series and exclusive content.

In an active and momentous first year as a studio, Pure Taboo stretched outside the ‘gonzo’ approach to porn production, choosing instead to “focus on cinematic storytelling and dramatic acting.” Along the way, the studio released over 100 new episodes, became Gamma’s fastest-growing studio brand and won 15 major industry awards, including honors for best new studio and movie of the year.
