YNOT – Mainstream e-commerce veteran Darrin Michaels has joined the team at Gamma Entertainment as a sales coordinator. Michaels will focus on affiliate relations for the company’s LiveBucks division, including the model-referral program for homeCams.com.

A Montreal native, Michaels possesses more than 10 years of experience in e-commerce. In 1999, he and a friend opened an online store to sell minidiscs. Eventually, the e-tail site expanded to carry a line of quality electronics with a focus on musical gear. He wore many hats as a business owner, he said, but he funneled most of his effort into building profitable business relationships.

“I’m thrilled that Darrin joined the Gamma Entertainment family to work on homeCams.com,” says Guillaume Boisvert, director of live products for the company. “He has a ton of unique experience and know-how from owning and operating his own e-commerce mainstream business over the last few years.”

Michaels graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a degree in economics. His responsibilities at Gamma include developing new and maximizing existing relationships with LiveBucks affiliates, building sales and marketing campaigns, and pursuing opportunities for account growth and new business. LiveBucks was nominated as Live Cam Affiliate Program of the Year in 2011 and 2012 by several industry organizations. The program offers pay-per-join and revenue-share options.
