ZEIST, Netherlands – In a deal consummated shortly before the Christmas holiday, Funix BV, a longtime player in the adult entertainment industry and the owner of FreeOnes.com, announced the acquisition of AdultFilmStarContent.com (AFSC), the latest addition to the Funix BV roster of sites.
In the announcement, the company described the move as “a significant expansion of Funix BV’s portfolio” that “underscores its commitment to growth and innovation in the adult content sphere.”
“This acquisition marks a pivotal moment in our growth strategy,” said Maurice, owner of Funix BV. “We are enthusiastic about integrating AFSC into our diverse array of digital offerings.”
Maurice also addressed what he called the “elephant in the room,” which is the “reputation of AFSC in the adult industry.”
“When I decided to make this purchase, I fully realized that AFSC came with a checkered past,” Maurice said. “However, with the stellar reputation of FreeOnes over the past 25 years I’m hoping that AFSC can regain the trust of the industry.”
The announcement explained that Funix has “ambitious plans to overhaul and revitalize AdultFilmStarContent.com during Q1 2024.”
“Key to this revitalization is plans to rebuild the b2b content platform from scratch so that potential customers can easily browse and purchase content for their projects,” the company said in its statement.
In addition to the rebuilding of the platform, Funix also “plans to integrate the content into FreeOnes as well as other Funix owned properties, to offer visitors premium offerings.”
Looking ahead into 2024, Funix said the company “would like to invite studios, photographers and content creators within the adult industry to collaborate.”
