CANOGA PARK, CA – The Free Speech Coalition has opened the polls for its 2008-09 board of directors elections. FSC members were sent ballots on Friday, via email if possible and via snail mail to those without email addresses on file.Candidate bios are on the trade organization’s website (http://www.freespeechcoalition.com/FSCView.asp?coid=1095).

Incumbents up for re-election are President Jim Everett of the Everett Group, Treasurer Joy King of Wicked Pictures, and board members Greg Shearer of White Tiger Releasing and Nellie Symm-Gruender of Passions.

Additional candidates, nominated by the membership, include attorney Eric M. Bernstein of Eric Bernstein & Associates, Bill Gardner of Hot Desert Knights, Tom Hymes of XBIZ, Paul Morris of Treasure Island Media, Theresa “Darklady” Reed of YNOT, Tom Stewart of Sportsheets, and Steve Toushin of Bijou Video.

“If you are a Free Speech Coalition Member and you haven’t received a ballot, call our office today at (818) 348-9373,” FSC Executive Director Diane Duke urged. “It is important to make sure we have current information to allow all of our members to participate in the election process.”

This year marks the first time the FSC has conducted elections using cyberspace technology.

“If we want maximum participation from our membership, then we will meet members where they live,” Duke said. “This is our members’ chance to choose the leadership, and therefore the direction, for FSC. We encourage everyone to vote.”

Voting closes December 18th at midnight, and election results will be announced at FSC’s membership meeting at the Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas in January.

The Free Speech Coalition is the national trade organization serving the adult entertainment industry. Its mission is to lead, protect and support the growth and wellbeing of its constituency.
