The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has announced the launch of PrivateAV, described as a “private, compliant, and affordable age verification service that financially supports FSC’s advocacy work.”
Exclusive to FSC members, according to the announcement, PrivateAV offers “two verification methods: AI-based age estimation and full document verification with biometric match.”
“Designed to protect user privacy, no personal data is ever stored, logged, or written to disk,” FSC said in the announcement. “All inputs are erased the moment verification completes and site operators can demonstrate to their audiences that their privacy is taken seriously.”
FSC said the pricing of PrivateAV is “designed for all members, not just enterprise budgets.”
“PrivateAV is being offered as an additional benefit of FSC membership, the organization explained. “Plans start at $30 per month for up to 1,000 verifications – a pricing tier designed to make compliance accessible to smaller and independent sites that have historically been priced out of commercial age verification options.” Higher-volume tiers are available for larger platforms, FSC noted.
“Age verification is now a fact of life for the adult industry,” said Alison Boden, Executive Director of the Free Speech Coalition. “FSC’s job is to help our members comply without breaking the bank, compromising their users’ privacy, or lining the pockets of the people trying to legislate us out of existence. PrivateAV is our answer to all three.”
FSC members who are interested in testing PrivateAV.com may “run 100 test verifications in sandbox mode before upgrading to a paid plan,” FSC added.
FSC also explained that “PrivateAV was developed by adult industry veterans who understand the compliance pressures, privacy concerns, and technical realities that adult platforms face.”
“For too long, the only available age verification solutions have been expensive, invasive, and difficult to deploy – products built by companies with little understanding of or sympathy for the adult industry’s unique needs,” FSC asserted. “Worse, some of the companies behind those solutions have actively funded the legislative campaigns that produced the wave of state age verification mandates now sweeping the world.”
PrivateAV “changes that equation,” FSC said, adding that “a portion of every subscription goes directly to FSC to support its legal defense, legislative advocacy, and policy work on behalf of the industry.”

FSC said that in addition to offering methods compliant with US state laws, the new age verification tool is “fully aligned with major global age verification requirements, including Ofcom (UK), Arcom (France), KJM (Germany), and Agcom (Italy).”
