Mystique, who entered the industry amid the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, pivoted from a seasoned career as a registered nurse. After her viral debut on PinkyXXX, she quickly rose to stardom, securing collaborations with top-tier adult brands that even the most experienced performers aspire to. In late 2022, after a failure in testing protocols led to a breakthrough STI and an industry-wide moratorium, Ebony became a vocal advocate for improved testing standards for all performers. She later teamed up with the industry regulatory leaders at PASS to update adult testing protocols, incorporating extragenital swabbing into the standard STI panel—an objectively more reliable method for detecting certain STIs than blood and urine tests alone.
As part of EBONY MYSTIQUE X ELEVATE, Ebony will be joined by Taurus Jeralds, founder and CEO of MPOWERR Health and Wellness in Atlanta, a PASS-certified testing partner, to educate the community in a comprehensive 1-hour recorded discussion. The conversation will cover essential topics such as foundational elements of testing, how talent can verify test results, the differences between swabbing and blood & urine tests, and tips for talent to advocate for their sexual health and safety.
