Flirt4Free is reporting that their first “post-COVID” Flirt Summit — held last month in November — was a success!
While nurturing a sense of community in the pandemic era is a daunting task, live cam network Flirt4Free has deemed the post-COVID resurrection of their exclusive annual gathering, Flirt Summit, a massive success.
In the past, this dream retreat for cam models and studios has convened in some of the planet’s most exotic locales. In 2018, the company turned a private island in The Maldives into Flirt Party Central, while in 2019, performers found themselves on the mystical shores of Bali. When the global health crisis forced the cancelation of Flirt Summit 2020, many wondered if this strange new world would allow cam models, already so tied to their screens, to assemble in live celebration again.
Flirt4Free President David Aguilar was determined to continue the tradition of offering this exquisite getaway to thank models who continued to shine through the pandemic. “Records for hours logged and models online have been shattered … No Flirt class deserves more gratitude,” he said back in May.
With health and safety a priority, and several contingency plans in place, Aguilar and the Flirt staff set to work putting every precaution in place ahead of their guests arriving in Cancun. This included on-site screening for all attendees and restricting the gathering to activities held within the palatial Riviera Maya resort.
“While it wasn’t ideal to skip the exciting excursions we usually plan for Summit, we felt certain we could still put together a memorable event to honor our performers without taking unnecessary risks,” Aguilar said.
The result was a gathering that, though larger in scale than past Summits, felt more intimate and personal. As soon as Flirt Summit Cancun began, the site’s social media pages flooded with thank yous. Attending models made it clear: the connections formed and fostered at Flirt Summit were refreshing and vital after months of mask-wearing and social distancing.
“Flirt Summit was such an amazing experience with incredible people,” top model Maye Daye said in a series of Tweets. “It’s one of those ‘you had to have been there’-type of experiences. I’m grateful to be part of such an awesome community.”
“This experience was the best experience that we’ve ever had on Flirt4Free,” said long-time gay cam icon Izzi, who struggled to hold back tears in an emotional Twitter video. “This was amazing … the connection between us models was so perfect, and I’m crying right now because I don’t want it to end … this special feeling.”
