WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Happy birthday, ClickCash! The world’s first adult affiliate program is 19 years old today.
Innovative from the day of its birth, ClickCash has remained relevant for nearly two decades — a feat matched by no other program to date. The company continues to thrive, according to its affiliate manager.
“This month, ClickCash grew to over 232,000 affiliates worldwide, promoting a diverse range of content across our affiliate network,” Stacy Michelle said. “The large variety of payout programs and promo tools that our affiliates enjoy today was not something we could have imagined in the 1990s.”
ClickCash.com began with a single payout program paying affiliates 2 cents per click. It has grown to seven distinct payout programs, attracting new affiliates and advertising networks. Volume bonuses, paid email leads and trackback pixels are all routine elements at ClickCash.
Today’s affiliate toolbox contains many more advanced tools than it once did. ClickCash now provides WordPress plugins, dynamic data feeds, URL shorteners and “smart” self-optimizing promos that are responsive to device types and user behavior.
Recently ClickCash revamped its mobile site for universal access. The program migrated thousands of Flash ads to HTML5 technology, which can reach users across browsers and platforms no matter what device they use.
“When ClickCash started, we made it our mission to help webmasters and affiliates monetize the web,” Michelle said. “That mission hasn’t changed a bit.”
ClickCash began life in 1996 — only one year after the internet made its public debut. Within a year, the program was growing steadily, with more than 6,000 affiliates posting banners and total payouts averaging $25,000 to $40,000 per week. Since its founding, ClickCash has made more than 990 consecutive uninterrupted weekly payments to affiliates around the globe.
ClickCash affiliates profited early from the rapid growth of the Digital Age. Any internet-savvy individual had the opportunity to build a fortune with the click of a mouse — and some ClickCash affiliates made millions.
“Times have changed, but new opportunities exist,” Michelle said. “Today’s reality requires new tools. Adobe Flash is on its last legs. Redirects are risky and ad-blockers are on the rise, but ClickCash continues to innovate and embrace change.
