FORT MYERS BEACH, FL — Mayor Larry Kiker and ex-Fort Myers Beach town manager Scott Janke may still be friends after the former fired the latter for daring to fall in love with and then marry a porn performer – but that doesn’t mean the Jankes are sticking around for summer socializing. Instead, the freshly outed family is moving to another state. According to the Fort Myers News-press.com site, Janke and wife Anabela Mota have packed up their old kit bags and are on the road to a new future as of now.

Given that Janke was officially handed his walking papers on Tuesday, that’s a speedy departure.

The adult Jankes are staying quiet about where they’re hoping to relocate, but are said to be en route to their children, who were sent way once their father’s firing and mother’s profession became national news.

Comments added to the News-Press.com article on the subject range from bafflement at what some consider an injustice to righteous outrage and condemnation directed toward the couple and especially Mota, whose behavior seems unlikely to be more vulgar than the amateur commentary.
