HOUSTON – Fame Registry, which uses proprietary algorithms and traceable data to track the popularity of adult performers, on Tuesday announced the nominees for its fifth annual awards. This year’s roundup includes 90 nominees in nine categories.
The Fame Registry Awards are unique in that they claim to be determined by statistical analysis, not fan or industry voting. Each month, Fame Registry publishes a list of the most popular porn stars based on criteria including number of movie performances, award wins, popularity on social networks and internet searches. Once a year, the organization compiles the monthly data into a master list to determine the most popular porn stars for the previous calendar year.
Award winners are announced each Aug. 30 via Twitter. The 2013 announcement is expected to begin at 8 p.m. ET.
