SEATTLE, Wash. – Trans-focused sex toy line Eversense Toys has announced the launch of an IndieGoGo fundraising campaign to support the company’s creation of a new line of sex toys “designed for trans, non-binary, intersex, and gender non-conforming bodies.”
Matty Hennessey, CEO and founder of Eversense, said the company’s goal is “to take dysphoric intimate experiences and transform them into gender affirming self-care.”
“For folks who physically transition, instead of feeling confused about navigating the development of their new body, our team has worked tirelessly to create something that will help them celebrate their true selves,” Hennessey added. “But this is not just for trans people. We also focus on non-binary and intersex folks. We’re thrilled to bring it to the public and invite everyone to join us on our mission to create a new community of learning and fulfilling experiences.”
In announcing the fundraiser campaign, Eversense emphasized that its designs “are not exclusive only to trans folks that transition.”
“They are also adaptable for cisgender people, people that do not want to or cannot physically transition, and those that have gender-affirming procedures,” the company said, adding that their goal is “to get people that are normally excluded from the sex toy industry excited about exploring their bodies.”
“This includes those with disabilities, people of all sizes and our community elders,” Eversense said. “By creating toys that adapt to as many bodies as possible, Eversense also wants users to be able to buy a toy that will work for them at any point, whether they’re transitioning or not.”
Through their fundraising campaign, Eversense said the company hopes to raise $30,000 before January 24, 2025, to help “pay for initial manufacturing of their first two products, to compensate their staff, and allow the company to promote their toys at events in 2025.”
“With this launch, Eversense Toys aims to create toys for marginalized bodies, while creating a new supportive community at the same time,” the company said.
