Benjamins is just starting to make her mark on porn, with well-reviewed performances in videos including Evil Angel’s Anal Skills. Because she doesn’t yet have a personal website, YNOT.com caught up with her recently in order to obtain the usual rundown: The 20-year-old Libra is 100-percent Puerto Rican, born and raised in Bronx, NY.

YNOT: Is your on-screen freshness a reflection of your “true self” or a skill you’ve learned as a performer?
Emily Benjamins: It’s a natural quality. When I do shoots or scenes, I just give them who I am. I’m always myself.
I was taught by Bella Roxx how to be a great model on film.
What led you to go into adult?
When I was younger, everyone said I was going to grow up to be a porn star. When I was in high school, I decided to be a porn star when I turned 18.
So, I began developing my career at an early age. That grew into my passion.
Tell us about shooting your first scene.
My first scene was with JWTies Productions in Florida. I shot about five scenes that day. It was a great shoot.
I was nervous about how the shoot was going to go when I was driving there. But JW made me comfortable as soon as I arrived, and we had a great time.
What drives your on-screen performances?
My secret to a great on-camera performance is really having a great production team. I’ve worked with a lot of great producers who made the scene what it was.
I’m always aware that the camera is there, but when the camera is rolling my other talents just have fun.
What aspects of your performances do your fans like the most?
A lot of my fans love my oral [skills] and my feet. I think people love to see a hot Latina who loves to fuck.
I’m down-to-earth and fun and give great scenes. I love sex, so it comes out naturally. I also love females, so when I get to do a girl-girl or boy-girl-girl scene I really have fun.
Besides the sex, what is it like working as a porn star?
It’s just like any other job. You still have deadlines, meetings and appointments, and you always have to be completely professional about your business at all times.
What have been the high points of your career so far?
Honestly, working with some of the amazing talent in this industry. I’ve worked with some companies I used to watch when I was younger, and I enjoy having the privilege of finding a lot of opportunities in this industry.
My career has allowed me to travel to so many amazing places and be part of an industry I’m genuinely passionate about.
What are your plans for the future?
My future goals are to launch my own adult film production company and continue to build my brand.
What do few people know about you?
The one thing that few people know about me is I actually co-manage a hip-hop artist.
