LOS ANGELES – Promising “stark comments, quips and in-depth interviews gathered from numerous years at AVN’s Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas” and input from some of adult entertainment’s biggest stars, a new documentary called Underbelly: Beneath the World of Porn is set to debut worldwide on August 14.
Hosted and directed by Girls and Corpses magazine founder Robert ‘Corpsy’ Rhine, Underbelly “explores the motivations, success stories and challenges of the women who seek fame and fortune by exposing themselves inside the world of pornography, camming, stripping and ‘B’ horror movies in the name of fame, fans and fortune,” according to a press release describing the documentary.
“Love it or hate it, pornography is a regular part of our daily lives and isn’t going anywhere, so I wanted to show in this documentary what’s really going on when young women venture into adult film and webcamming, and the impact it has on their lives and ours as well,” Rhine said. “We learn their stories of success, failure and stardom. These are women who love what they do, but also experience the highs and lows of a challenging and extremely competitive and often highly profitable business.”
Performers appearing in Underbelly include Nina Elle, Sunny Lane, Casey Calvert, Celeste Star, Romance, Nikki Jackson, Lily Lane, Leigh Raven, Alena Croft, Darcie Dolce, Alexis Adams, Katie Morgan, Amber Ivy, Ginger Banks, Rae Riley, Gia Page, Cali Carter, Mia Malkova, Abigail Mac, Jenna Sativa, Jojo Kiss and Alexxx Coal, among others.
Underbelly is being distributed by MVD Entertainment and will be released on all platforms August 14, 2018. The DVD is available for pre-order at selected retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Movies Unlimited, CC Video and WalMart.com. The trailer for Underbelly is now up on YouTube, as well.
