YNOT – Online video-on-demand service HotMovies.com has teamed up with classic porn studio DistribPix to release a series of digitally restored and re-mastered classics from the Golden Age of Porn.
The first round of high-definition titles includes Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann and Inside Little Oral Annie, which feature iconic sirens like Barbara Bourbon and Georgina Spelvin.
“This is what porn was like before Deep Throat,” said HotMovies Director of Business Development James Cybert. “These [movies] were shot on film, on location in New York. They’re real movies. It’s fascinating, and you don’t see stuff like this anymore.
“The Little Oral Annie version is amazing,” he added. “I don’t know what kind of magic they used on Little Oral Annie, but I’ve never seen a blowjob look more fantastic. Uncomfortable work boners must have been a real problem [for the guys] working on the transfers.”
DistribPix technicians worked for years, painstakingly restoring each frame of each film and then transcoding each title to high-definition format, Steven Morowitz of DistribPix said. The process is onerous, requiring significant time, money, patience and a genuine love of the medium, but the craftsmen’s efforts ensure classic movies will survive to delight future generations.
“These films represent a time in this country when the sexual revolution was about to explode, and they really pushed the censors more and more, through each release,” Morowitz explained. “Having the high-definition transfers right from the original negatives makes an enormous difference. Original theatrical versions of the films actually cropped off about 30-percent of the frame. Including the edited-out footage will surely excite classics buffs.”
The DistribPix re-releases will be exclusive to HotMovies.com. In addition to the uncut hardcore versions, each title includes a softcore version the original editors created for legal reasons. Other special features abound, too, including commentary from the directors, subtitles, bonus footage and theatrical trailers.
“We’re excited to be the only VOD website to get these classic adult movies,” Cybert said. “Classic porn is some of our most popular material on HotMovies, and these re-mastered releases from DistribPix are a great way to round out our collection.”
Affiliates may promote HotMovies through its affiliate program, MovieDollars, which pays 20-percent recurring revshare.
