VAN NUYS, CA – Digital Playground (DP) has announced the release of its official movie trailer for Pirates, which the company calls its “most comprehensive and ambitious adult production to date.”Co-produced with Adam & Eve, and directed by award-winning DP director Joone, Pirates stars Jesse Jane, Carmen Luvana, Janine, Teagan Presley, Devon, Austyn Moore and Jenaveve Jolie.

In its press release, DP characterizes Pirates as “a monumental step towards the eminent merging of the entertainment industries.” The entire production was shot and mastered in high definition, and includes over 300 special effects shots, true Dolby digital 5.1 surround sound and an extensive original music score.

Samantha Lewis. “Each production must surpass the last and it does. It is with honor and privilege that we present Pirates to our customers, clients, associates and friends.”

Filmed on location bi-coastally throughout California and Florida, Pirates is “filled with action from deadly swordplay against skeleton warriors to firing cannons and offshore fight scenes,” according to DP’s release.

“The director Joone was incredible, assisting me with getting into character and developing that role,” said Tommy Gunn. “The locations and costuming was gorgeous and the boat was just mind-blowing. I will never forget working with Digital Playground and Joone’s vision.”

Pirates is scheduled to ship on September 19th, with a September 26th street date. The triple disc set offers both standard and WMV-HD DVD formats. Additional features include 16×9 widescreen format, blooper clips, casting video, photo gallery, audio commentary with the stars, behind the scenes, a visual effects “making of”, a Pirates short, bios, trailers, chapter index and no regional coding.

According to the company’s statement, DP is offering the preview free of charge to “all distributors, retailers, affiliate and fan websites” in coordination with the September 26th release date of Pirates.
