Corey D. Silverstein to Host Webinar on SCOTUS Age Verification Ruling
Corey D. Silverstein, the attorney behind MyAdultAttorney.com and Adult.Law, has announced his next Legal Impact Webinar, “SCOTUS Has Spoken – Where Does Age Verification Go from Here?” The webinar is scheduled for July 10 at 4pm EST.
Sponsored by SegPay, the session will be moderated by ClaraKitty and feature special guests, Mike Stabile of the Free Speech Coalition and attorney Lawrence Walters of FirstAmendment.com.
“The adult industry has been waiting patiently for the United States Supreme Court to weigh in on the constitutionality of Texas’ Age Verification law, and by the time of this webinar, the Supreme Court will have released its critical opinion,” the announcement noted. “Join us for this special webinar where we will discuss the implications of the Supreme Court’s ruling and where things go from here.“
Silverstein called the Supreme Court’s pending ruling “by far one of the most important court rulings to ever have been made for the adult industry.”
“This decision has the potential for changing the direction of age verification in the United States and the entire industry and its future will be affected,” Silverstein added. “The goal of this seminar is for Larry, Mike and myself to help the industry understand the decision and how to move forward.”
Walters said the decision “could have wide-ranging implications for the adult industry and the First Amendment.”
“In this webinar, Corey and I look forward to breaking down the ruling and how it will affect adult website operators,” Walters said. “This is not one to miss.”
Stabile said that Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton is “one of the most closely watched cases before the court this term and the decision could have profound consequences for our industry and online speech more broadly.”
“The webinar is a chance for us to unpack what it means in a practical sense,” Stabile added.
