“The way our new retargeting system works, Adnium advertisers are able to load primary ads and secondary ads which are later displayed based on the earlier activities of each potential customer,” said Chief Executive Officer Luke Hazlewood. “As your target continues browsing other sites online, they are presented with follow-up ads from your inventory to close sales that would otherwise have been missed.”

Adnium Retargeting utilizes a simple JavaScript tag in the footer of website pages. The line of code places an anonymous retargeting cookie in visitors’ browsers. Later, when the user visits another participating site, they are presented with the first site’s follow-up ads via the Adnium Retargeting platform.

According to Hazlewood, the system keeps brands in front of potential customers, creating a meaningful chain of ads that builds momentum and reinforces the pitch of earlier creatives in the brand’s inventory.

The retargeting system is available now and may be activated in each advertiser’s control panel or by contacting an account manager.
