LOS ANGELES – The people behind content syndicator SexEntertain have launched a new cloud-based video e-commerce platform that allows mainstream and adult entertainment companies to repackage and sell their content in new ways.
According to SexEntertain President RJ, VendContent “allows for lasting, e-commerce-oriented relationships directly with consumers based on repeat visits and purchases of premium content.”
The system provides a mechanism by which consumers may rent or buy individual scenes, entire movies or movie bundles. Alternatively, webmasters may offer VIP memberships that offer access to a rental library along with discounts on content purchases.
The system also allows participating webmasters to share content libraries and exchange paying-customer leads.

London-based Panorama Pacific Ltd., in association with Japanese studio JadeNet, launched the first VendContent-powered commercial website, JadeNetPorn.com, on Monday.
At the core of the VendContent platform is a digital asset management and entitlement system and a proprietary API. The digital asset management system stores and organizes metadata associated with each digital media asset — scene, clip, preview, movie, episode, show, series, DVD, etc. — and the entitlement system stores settings that determine which user types may view each asset and in what modality: purchase, rental or free.
The platform is offered as a managed service with all technical and human resources included in one monthly fee.
