No one knew what to expect when Exxxoticaexpo announced it was finally set to once again descend upon the Chicagoland area for its long-awaited, COVID-delayed, 10th anniversary at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, just a short week ago, July 16-18. But, no one could have written a better happy ending than what happened when the show finally shut the lights off on Sunday after a record-setting event.
From the second EXXXOTICA Chicago, presented by MyFreeCams, opened its doors on Friday night, everyone knew something special was about to happen. With lines stretching down halls and around corners, thousands of attendees were excited to finally celebrate love and sex, and over 100 exhibitors and 200 stars from the adult entertainment world were ready to do their part to help in the festivities.
“I’ve never seen a Friday at EXXXOTICA look like that,” said J. Handy, Director of Three Expo Events, the producers of EXXXOTICA. “I spent half of the night, along with a handful of our show management staff, just trying to get the lines cleared and attendees into the event. I think it’s safe to say that EXXXOTICA is back!”
Many fans took advantage of EXXXOTICA’s “Safe and Sexy” initiative sponsored by Chaturbate. The initiative was developed to help keep attendees and exhibitors as safe as possible with the offer of rapid and free PCR COVID testing, and free facemasks, as well as special wristbands which indicated those who tested negative and/or were vaccinated. The aisles on the show floor, as well as booths were also spread out more to give more opportunity for social distancing.
Friday’s attendance for “Ladies Free Friday” saw a record number of fans visit EXXXOTICA, and began a run on VIP tickets that ended up reaching sold-out status. A seemingly endless throng of men, women and couples entered the convention center – a trend that continued throughout the weekend as both Saturday and Sunday also exhibited a growth in numbers.
The record-setting figures extended past attendees as many of EXXXOTICA’s longtime exhibitors also reported historic sales – some even saying it was the best in the 42-show, 16-year, 12-city history of the event.
Fans were thrilled to get out from behind their screens and meet some of their favorites they had been in quarantine with during the 21-month layoff since EXXXOTICA was last in the Chicago area. Adult legends, superstars and the top new names in adult such as Stormy Daniels, Katie Morgan, Reya Sunshine, Alex Coal, Britney Amber, Violet Myers, Nicolette Shea, Jessie Lee, Keisha Grey, Evan Stone, Vina Sky, April O’Neil, Jillian Janson, Brooklyn Chase, RubberDoll, Misty Stone, Kit Mercer, Ember Snow, Vicki Chase, Spencer Scott, Misty Stone, Jamie Jett, Herschel Savage, WWE legend The Godfather, Tiny Texie, Keli Richards and hundreds more cam models, Internet stars and glamour models hosted by companies like Bad Dragon, MyFreeCams, Chaturbate, Galaxy Publicity and more. Bad Dragon’s Spotlight, had over 20 stars at their booth which was filled with the biggest and brightest stars in adult and the adult fantasy toy company gave away thousands of goodie bags to excited fans.
EXXXOTICA’s Entertainment Stage, sponsored by Chaturbate, featured an electrifying lineup of shows, highlighted by feature dance performances by fan favorites such as RubberDoll, the Stallion Male Revue, Tiny Texie, BJ McNaughty, Janine Jericho, Spinning Shae, Angela Eve, PolyAnnie and others. There were also daily all-star Q&A panels with an array of stars, the Ms. EXXXOTICA competition, Pole Dance Championships, sexy contests, tons of giveaways and more. Fans took in the jam-packed schedule of their favorite acts as the action on the stage went non-stop.
The EXXXOTICA Seminar Series, led by the show’s resident sexpert and lauded educator, Tyomi Morgan, presented engaging and entertaining topics presented by a curated roster of speakers such as Morgan, Evan Stone, Katie Morgan, James Bartholet, David Frost, Debra Shade, Dee Black, Bo Blaze, Professor Gaia, and more invited all to come and talk about sex. Whether it was getting advice on relationships and relations, finding out how to get into the business, or just hearing from stars on their experiences in front of and beyond the cameras, over 40 seminars educated and entertained all three days.
EXXXOTICA’s Interactive Dungeon was filled with men and women who wanted to learn more about the world of kink. The 5,000 square foot space presented fans with various demonstrations by experts on how to play safe as they take a walk on the wild side.
Another popular section of the show floor was the enhanced CouplesX Lifestyle Experience, sponsored by Kasidie. Hundreds of interested couples visited the area to learn more about the swinging lifestyle as well as meet other like-minded folks who were just like them.
Bad Dragon also sponsored SW!TCH, the show’s LGBTQ+ message, which helped companies who support inclusion stand out and stand up to those who joined them in showing that “Love is Love.”
Things didn’t quiet down at night after the show floor closed as official after parties at hot spots around the area took place into the wee hours. Adult entertainers at spots like Heavenly Bodies, Scores of Chicago, the World Famous Admiral Theatre and Blackjacks had all-star performers, as did the show’s host hotel with live DJs. VIP attendees got to take advantage of free admission to the parties and continue celebrating life all night long.
When all was said and done, while 2020 is a year many would soon like to forget, EXXXOTICA Chicago in 2021 is something worth remembering!
EXXXOTICA’s next stop will be the show’s return to Miami, September 17-19, New Jersey, October 22-24, and the debut of EXXXOTICA in Washington, DC area, December 3-5.
