YNOT – Jasper Duncombe, 41, is one of Britain’s most successful pornographers. The press tagged the owner of London-based producers and distributors Tongue in Cheek and Relish XXX “the porn baron.”After his father died last year, Duncombe found himself the bearer of an even more exalted, legitimate title: seventh Lord Feversham. The sixth Lord Feversham did not leave his eldest son any of the family fortune, though. Incensed by his heir’s career choice, the 64-year-old patriarch instead left £46 million and a 14,000-acre Yorkshire estate to his second son, Jake. Jake Duncombe, his wife and two children moved into the 18th Century manor with his stepmother, Lady Feversham … and then the family feud began in earnest.
The details recently came to light in a court filing. The sixth Lord Feversham, with evident malice of forethought, divided his estate equally among his other three children and his widow, leaving Jasper as a glaring omission from the will.
The news did not surprise the seventh Lord Feversham, who steadfastly has refused to speak publicly about his estrangement from his father. He issued a single comment about the matter before his father’s death: “I am proceeding on the basis that I’m not going to get anything [in the will]. I think I’m going to have to provide for both myself and any future family in the years to come.”
Jasper Duncombe has been a favorite target of the tabloid press. The product of an aristocratic upbringing, he attended Gordonstoun school with Prince Edward. He quickly fell out of favor with his family and blue-blood society after that, however — especially after serving a three-year prison sentence following a 1993 conviction for an armed robbery in which he took part while high on cocaine.
In recent years he has settled down somewhat, though the descent into pornography production and distribution was simply unforgivable in his father’s eyes. However, the patriarch left a little “wiggle room” for future generations by including a “remoter issue” clause in his will. That may mean infant Orlando Balthazar Duncombe, Jasper Duncombe’s infant son with photographer-wife Candida Boddington, stands in line to inherit not only the family title, but his father’s porn empire and at least some of his grandfather’s wealth, as well.
