MENLO PARK, Calif. – The team behind the Pro13 home testing kit, heretofore known as Basis Dx, has announced a rebrand, moving the test kit and company name beneath the ProDx Health.
“ProDx Health is bringing the same level of CLIA certification as always, with even better service and options for clients,” the company said in a statement announcing the branding shift.
The ProDx Health brand will officially step into the light this weekend at EXXXOTICA Chicago, which runs Friday April 11 through Sunday April 13 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
According to the announcement, the company’s goal in attending shows like EXXXOTICA is “to teach adult stars and content creators to test like pros and continue creating brand awareness of Pro13, the gold standard of testing kits.”
“Show attendees and the industry can meet (company founder and CEO) Dr. K and learn more about Pro13, new kits, and ProDx Health,” ProDx added. “There will be Pro13-branded swag, and adult stars Taylor Vixxen, Andie Anderson, and Melony Melons will be signing throughout the weekend.”
Dr. K said the “in-roads we’ve made in the past year in the adult industry and beyond astound me.”
“We filled a crucial void with the Pro13, and we’ve been well received. We’re powering up, and it’s very exciting. We are doing our first EXXXOTICA in Chicago, which is now their biggest show,” Dr. K added.
The brand is also sponsoring the EXXXOTICA Chicago seminar series.On Friday in Seminar B and Saturday in Seminar A, Dr. K and Dustin Rybka of the Sex Party Podcast will host an “entertaining and educational panel,” titled “F**k Like a Pornstar & Test Like One, Too,” which will give attendees the opportunity to ask questions about the Pro13, the company’s other test kits and other subjects. The company also will be giving away a free test kit at each seminar.
Pro 13 is also sponsoring The Fanny Awards. The company’s logo will be on the red carpet on Saturday night in the Grand Ballroom at the Convention Center and Rybka will “interview all the top stars for his podcast,” according to the announcement.
