CHATSWORTH, CA – The AVN Media Network announced yesterday that Paul Fishbein, President of AVN, will moderate a “special session” at the upcoming Internext Expo featuring a panel comprised of prominent figures representing a variety of adult industry market segments. The “Future of the Adult Industry” panel discussion, to be held Monday, January 15th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, will include Vivid Video CEO Steven Hirsch, SilverCash president Mike Price, Video Secrets President Gregory Clayman, GEC Media President Greg Dumas, and HotMovies president Richard Cohen, according to the AVN press release.

“Never before has this kind of brain trust been brought together in one place at one time for the purpose of enlightening the industry,” Fishbein said. “I think this will be a once-in-a lifetime educational experience.”

“The people on this panel are icons in the adult industry – both online and offline,” added Fishbein. “Every one of them is at the forefront of technology and evolving business models, and every one of them has proven he has staying power and the guts and chutzpah to make the most of emerging opportunities. What I’m particularly pleased about is that they’ve agreed to share how they got where they are and how they plan to continue being successful in a challenging environment.”

Internext Expo this year has moved to the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino, where the conference will run from January 15th -17th. The conference will include a keynote address from Joe Lakey (aka Lensman), the executive vice president of Playboy Entertainment, Inc., and a closing session with Dr. Marty Klein, author of the book America’s War on Sex: The Attack on Law, Lust & Liberty. Lakey’s keynote address will take place on January 15th at 1:00 pm and Klein’s closing speech is scheduled for January 17th, from noon to 1:00 pm.

Another first at this edition of Internext Expo is a live domain auction, taking place on January 17th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The auction, a collaborative effort of Internext Expo and Moniker, will be hosted by Moniker.com CEO – and professional auctioneer – Monte Cahn.

The deadline for submitting domain names to Moniker for consideration in the live auction, and a corresponding silent online auction, is next Monday, December 18th. Adult and non-adult domains alike will be considered for the auction, according to the release. For more information on selling your domains, contact Moniker at sales@moniker.com.

Online registration for Internext Expo of $300 is available through January 5th, 2007. On-site registration begins Sunday, January 14th. Interested attendees can reserve a room at Mandalay Bay through Rose Travel & Tours by calling (888) 491-7673 or (215) 533-5700.
