CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Eighty pleasure products, marketing campaigns and packaging designs have been recognized with nominations for AVN Media Network’s eighth annual “O” Awards.

The awards honor the most innovative items in 12 categories including products for men, products for women, supplements, lubricants, powered and unpowered toys, lingerie and accessories.

“Committee members never cease to be amazed by the pleasure products that are produced each year,” said Sherri L. Shaulis, senior editor of pleasure products for AVN. “The creativity, the technology, the designs … everyone is always looking to outdo themselves and one another, and it makes it fun — and, granted, sometimes very difficult — to narrow each category down to 15 nominees.”

The “O” Awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Jan. 19 as part of the AVN Novelty Expo at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The show will be hosted by Sunny Megatron, sex educator and host of the Showtime original series Sex with Sunny Megatron. The ceremony is open to all trade attendees of the expo, which Wired Magazine dubbed “the CES of sex toys.”
