VENICE, CA – If you looked at AVN.com in the past few days you most likely saw something about Mick Blue. The 3x winner of the Male Performer of the Year trophy, he is making news with a new website, FuckingAwesome.com, and with his new career as a racecar driver.
The features were penned by AVN Managing Editor Dan “Scoop” Miller, starting with “Mick Blue at American Endurance Racing Event,” a meaty feature that shines a light on Mick’s new career as a racecar driver.
“Mick Blue performs extreme sex acts on camera on a daily basis, but strapping himself into a race car is a different kind of pressure,” is Miller’s lede for the important piece. From there he details Mick’s new career and the thinking behind it, both generally and what goes through his head while he’s behind the wheel.
“I was so nervous,” Blue told Miller about his first race. “You’re driving for your team and you want to do good. You know that you have to bring the car back safe and at the same time you also cannot be slow or you lose valuable time. It’s a very intense, interesting experience.
“It was very interesting to try to perform with this high level of concentration and to keep the car safe. You want to make sure you’re good and that you fit in the team and nobody is sad because you don’t give a good performance. But more importantly, you need to keep the car safe. If you’re fast and you crash the car, you can lose the whole day.”
And maybe more than that! AVN also posted a set of behind-the-scenes photos from his recent American Endurance Racing event last month in New Jersey.
Next came “FuckingAwesome.com Offers Free 4K Sex Scenes in Beta,” a story documenting the beta debut of the headline site, for which Mick has been producing, directing and performing. The site currently has 16 full-length scenes, all available in 4K ultra-HD and all free. The site will continue offering free weekly updates until at least July 1, at which time the site will begin rolling out one new premium episodic series per month that will be available on a subscription basis.
“The scenes are very-story based and detail oriented, completely different from what I usually do, which is mainly gonzo stuff,” Mick told AVN. Mick said he will be shooting about eight scenes am month for the site.
“Mick continues to be one of the busiest guys in porn between shooting his own productions, performing for other studios and creating FuckingAwesome content,” Miller writes.
