CYBERSPACE – ASACP (asacp.org) is the organization that helps the adult online industry make a difference in the battle against child pornography (CP). ASACP provides a self-regulatory vehicle for its members through a Code of Ethics that promotes the protection of children through responsible, professional business practices. Created in 1996, ASACP’s main goal has been to raise awareness about the subject of child pornography and to gather a large number of adult sites to help support the fight against such acts.

According to ASACP guidelines, there are two ways that the adult online industry can protect both itself and the children.
The first is more than a suggestion; it’s required by US law. Websites with adult content must have all the proper 2257 documentation, then refer to it and the custodial records on the home page of each site. The second is not required by law, but it is an issue that serves to continually anger parents, sully the reputation of the online adult industry and generate negative media press – having adult content on a home page where children or minors can unwittingly view it.
In an attempt to affect change on this issue, ASACP has added this guideline to the Best Practices: “On Index (warning) page: include all disclaimers, age verification, etc and exclude images to prevent children from unknowingly viewing adult material.”
New Corporate Sponsor

ASACP provides a hotline for people to report suspected child pornography and they investigate the reports and forward validated suspect cp (Red Flag Reports) to the FBI, NCMEC and other international hotlines.
