ASACP Honors its Featured Sponsors for February 2017

By : newswire

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its Featured Sponsors for the month of February 2017.

ASACP’s Featured Sponsors rank among the industry’s most celebrated and successful companies,

offering inspiration for all operators as examples of self-regulation, corporate responsibility, and ethical operation.

“As a non-profit association, ASACP survives on the generosity of its sponsors to continue its 20-plus-year record of success; and it is only with this help that we succeed in its mission of keeping children away from adult-oriented materials,” says ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning. “Honoring the association’s Featured Sponsors highlights those flagship firms that make a tangible commitment to the cause of online child protection.”

From its internationally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline that has processed more than one million CP reports since its inception, to its popular Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta labeling system that aids parents by helping prevent children’s access to adult-oriented web pages and mobile apps, to its free educational tools, including market-specific Best Practices and universal Code of Ethics for businesses, mobile app publishers, and website operators, ASACP is an active organization fueled by its family of sponsors and supporters.

For February, ASACP recognizes Gamma Entertainment, SDC Media, and AdultWebmasterNet, as its latest Featured Sponsors, signifying their ongoing support of the association and its gratitude for the continuing commitment shown by these companies to making the internet safer for children.

Gamma Entertainment

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor that has supported the association since 2006, Montreal-based Gamma Entertainment illustrates the commitment that the adult entertainment industry’s most prominent players make towards keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment.

According to the company, Gamma has grown from a home-based business with a single website to become a major force in the adult entertainment industry. Gamma attributes its growth to the use of cutting edge technology and its adherence to four basic principles: honesty, respect, reliability, and an up-front way of doing business that has been the bedrock of its success.

Gamma demonstrates its leadership by using the RTA website meta-label to protect its sites and by donating rack space for two ASACP-owned servers located in the Gamma data center — providing useful material and technical support, as well as financial aid for the association.

Swingers Date Club

The world’s largest international swingers’ dating site and an ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2008, Swingers Date Club boasts a membership of more than three million adults around the globe, who are seeking intimate connections with like-minded individuals.

Featuring listings of verified local swingers and swingers clubs, parties and events, plus speed dating and travel services, Swingers Date Club has taken pride in being an active sponsor of ASACP and takes protecting minors seriously — helping in this fight by preventing minors from accessing its site by using the RTA label — and further protects visitors from unwanted exposure to sexually explicit imagery by not including this type of material on its home page.

“We work very hard to help the fight against child pornography on a daily basis,” SDC’s Dave Vdwouw explains, noting that SDC.com has an active support staff that combs through the website 24/7 to ensure that no type of illicit activity is going on. “We take immediate action when rules are violated, and the violator’s personal information is always forwarded to the authorities.”

“SDC believes that possessing and receiving child pornography is a serious federal crime, and we will not stand for the abuse of children in any manner,” Vdwouw adds. “It is a huge task to try to stop the victimization of children and we take it very seriously, along with our devoted members who are diligent in contacting us if they see anything that they believe to be hurtful or offensive. Child pornography must be stopped and we vow to do our part in fighting this battle every day.”

AdultWebmasterNet

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2012, AdultWebmasterNet is a traffic services firm that sells and trades adult website traffic, putting the company in a position to view the material published by a wide range of adult sites, which it does with a strong sense of corporate responsibility. For example, the company reviews all traffic requests to ensure it meets minimum standards, such as the lack of underage depictions or any allusion to them.

The company also publishes its own set of Best Practices, which include encouraging clients to become sponsors of ASACP and to adopt the RTA labeling protocol, helping spread the word about the need to protect children online. Although it is an offshore firm, AdultWebmasterNet goes beyond what is required by voluntarily complying with U.S. laws, such as 18 U.S.C. §2257, which mandates performer age verification, showing how ASACP’s top supporters take their responsibilities seriously.

From premium adult entertainment to casual dating to website traffic services, February’s Featured Sponsors illustrate the range of top-tier companies that show proactive corporate leadership through their support of ASACP and its mission.

“A shifting legal and political landscaping is presenting new challenges to the industry, and now more than ever, ASACP needs your help to raise awareness and protect children,” Henning notes. “ASACP’s monthly Featured Sponsors show that corporations can and do care, and work towards a safer future for youth and the industry alike.”
