ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning Nominated for World Traffic Awards

ASACPASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to announce that its Executive Director, Tim Henning, is nominated for the first World Traffic Awards.

A prestigious award presented in association with the mainstream oriented Traffic Summit, Henning is nominated as 2022’s “Best Marketing Influencer.”

The World Traffic Awards (WTA) is an international competition that aims to highlight the most successful teams and leading individuals on the world digital scene, with the audience choosing among those influencers and companies that make a significant contribution to the industry’s development.

The awards ceremony presenting the WTA winners will be held in Istanbul on September 29, as part of the annual Traffic Summit conference that will bring together more than 3,500 attendees from across the world.

“The ‘Best Marketing Influencer’ category was designed especially for opinion leaders who have earned a large online audience and who had a great influence on the digital marketing sphere,” said an event spokesperson. “[Tim Henning is] definitely one of them!”

“I am most pleased and surprised by this prestigious nomination in an award category that features many long-time colleagues and influencers that I have come to know and respect,” Henning said. “It is truly an honor to be featured among these top professionals in a contest where no matter who wins, there are no losers.”

A nonprofit association supported by the industry’s most respected companies, ASACP helps stakeholders assume a proactive leadership role in the struggle to protect children online.

Now in its 26th year, ASACP’s ongoing successes include the release of child protection resources such as market-specific Best Practices, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for app and age-restricted website publishers. Positioned at the pinnacle of ASACP’s achievements is its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system that prevents children’s access to billions of adult-oriented web pages; and its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than 1 million reports to date. As with all of ASACP’s services, these tools are provided free to publishers, thanks to the generosity of the association’s family of sponsors.

ASACP’s Travel Sponsor, DialXS, is generously underwriting Henning’s airfare to and from the venue city of Istanbul, providing a much-needed level of assistance to the association’s international outreach efforts.

“By working together to support the association’s vital work, industry leaders can make a positive impact on the effort to protect society’s most innocent and vulnerable members,” Henning added. “I look forward to the World Traffic Awards and the spotlight it will shine on the industry’s best and brightest, and hope to use this opportunity to carry the mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment to a broad new audience.”
