Anna: I’m Anna, and I’m the one-man band behind nerdpr0n.com. I’m the model, producer, webmaster, all that… so I’m very much a do-it-yourselfer in the world of porn. I infuse my site with my personality, which is easy enough because I’m a total nerd. So there is a lot of fun stuff with me posing with giant d20s, playing video games, wearing geeky shirts, and more every week!

YNOT: What do you consider to be the sexiest thing about you?

Anna: My brain! I consider it one of my best qualities and I regard anyone who doesn’t agree suspiciously.

YNOT: Why did you choose to get into the adult industry? (How did you choose this persona?)

Anna: I’ve always been an exhibitionist, so it was just another way for me to show off. When I began the site it was more a way for my friends to see me naked than anything else, and it slowly grew and grew and grew! I didn’t really choose a persona – as I explained earlier, I took the nerdy bits of my personality and ran with them. 😉

YNOT: How do you make your content stand out from the crowd?

Anna: I really emphasize my personality and beliefs. I’m a nerd, but I’m also a feminist and also a pr0nstar, and I’m doing things all my own way, on my own terms, on my own time. There aren’t many people in the world today who can say that they’re setting the terms for their own jobs.

YNOT: Is it fun running your own adult website?

Anna: It’s very fun – exploring my sexuality, showing off, and learning about the human body. Also, I get to be independent and creative, and I get to ensure that I have complete control over what I want and don’t want to do. I also enjoy being my own boss and setting my own hours!

YNOT: So what is it really like being a “prOn star?” Is it a madcap life of sexual fulfillment or just a fun job?

Anna: It’s really just a fun job – albeit a VERY fun job! I don’t really go crazy and fuck a lot of people at conventions or meet up with strangers or swing… it’s a much different experience for me. The sex is between me and my boyfriend and friends, whom I’d already be fucking already… the camera adds a bit of spice, that’s all!

YNOT: What don’t you like about the industry and how would you like to see it changed?

Anna: There is a lot of disrespect towards women in the way that porn sites are marketed and designed. The problem there isn’t that marketing of sexuality is bound to corrupt, but mainly that the porn world seems convinced that degrading porn is where the money is made. I’m not 100% sure that that’s true, but it’s certainly an image that is reinforced again and again in marketing. I would like to see the stigma lifted from porn (“dirty”, “nasty,” “sluts”) and a wider spectrum of sexuality explored. I think there’s sort of a circle-jerk of reinforcement going on and I’d like to see that circle broken.

YNOT: Now the personal stuff: What’s the best experience (sexual or otherwise) you’ve had to date?

Anna: Getting to explore so many wonderful fantasies and settings! Learning that people do love girls in glasses and learning I’m not the only one who’s tired of the state of porn today.

YNOT: And the worst?

Anna: Seeing firsthand the unrealistic expectations people have of me! People don’t see a three-dimensional person, but rather as a caricature – either of a nerd, or an amateur. People expect me to be either super-nerd (“name all the elements as fast as you can!”) or super-slut (“take my huge cock bb”) and both get old fast. There will always be heels, but I’m hoping that presenting the thoughts and feelings behind a sex symbol will flesh out porn for everyone everywhere – and thus make it more exciting and real.

YNOT: What would you have to achieve in the industry to consider yourself a complete success?

Anna: I already consider myself a success. I have achieved goals beyond what I set out to achieve, and I’m very happy with what I do now, and would like nothing more than to continue in this manner. If the job came with health insurance that would be a bonus, but I’m not desperately clawing to the top or anything like that!

YNOT: Finally, what sexual experience would you still like to experience, that you haven’t yet?
