YNOT – Gay Adult studio Athletic Model Guild has partnered with Spankmo Mobile to launch mobile versions of two of AMG’s most popular websites, AthleticModelGuild.com and AMGBrasil.com.According to AMG President Dennis Bell, each site features all the content users expect to find on the corresponding standard website, but the new sites have optimized for delivery to most mobile devices operating on most networks. Like the original sites, the mobile sites will receive regular updates.
“Now you can watch your favorite AMG models from anywhere in the world, without sacrificing quality,” Bell said. “It’s really a beautiful thing. We’ve worked really hard to make sure that our studio remains on the cutting edge of technological innovations, and the mobile platform is no different.
“It’s seamless,” he continued. “No one is missing out with our Spankmo-powered sites, which is a whole hell of a lot more than I can say for our situation with Apple.”
Bell still seethes about the company’s long-running battle with Apple over the latter’s standards where iPhone applications are concerned. Late last year, the studio released the first gay adult iPhone apps to be accepted for sale in the iTunes store: AMG Beefcake and AMG Brasil Boys. Neither displayed nudity below the waist. In February, the apps were among about 5,000 deemed “too risque” by Apple’s censors before being unceremoniously dumped from the e-tail outlet.
“You know, that whole situation with Apple not making consistent decisions was just ridiculous,” Bell said. “Those apps were supposed to be our entry into mobile technology, but it was really just a pain. Who needs them anyway? With Spankmo-powered sites, you don’t need an Apple device to view the content. The irony is that now our new mobile sites can be viewed easily on Apple’s new iPad.”
As a bonus, the mobile sites are part of AMG’s AMG Cash affiliate program, which pays up to 60-percent recurring revshare on all sales.
Bell said AMG could not have found a better partner with which to tackle mobile technology. According to Spankmo co-founder Alan Westenbroek, the feeling is mutual.
