YNOT.com: Please tell us about yourself.

Alex Lombardi: I’m a 33-year-old companion who lives in Florida, but I travel on a monthly basis. During my down time, I enjoy cooking, reading, volunteering and, of course, shopping.

What makes you special and unique in your profession?

I’m one of the few ladies in my profession who doesn’t lie about her age. Also, I’m very courteous, respectful and understanding. I’m not clingy, possessive or reach out to men when there’s nothing scheduled. When the meeting is over, I simply disappear. You won’t hear from me again until the gentleman contacts me first.

How did you get into the business?

I used to work in the music industry while living in New York City. When my contract was up, I moved to Florida in December 2005. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life at that point in time. I checked out the strip club scene, but it’s changed so much over the years. Long story short, men kept approaching me and inquiring about getting together on my days off. I left the stage for good and never looked back.

You offer a range of appointment types and lengths. What kind of experiences do you offer?

I’m a GFE [girlfriend experience] type of companion.

How much rapport can a client reasonably expect?

It really depends on where the meetings take place. I travel quite a bit. Most of my meetings are weekend excursions and monthly trips up north.

What are some of the best and worst experiences you’ve had in the job?

I’ve never had any bad experiences — just zero chemistry. The perks of being in the industry are simply mind-blowing. For instance, one of my clients works for the NFL and I was able to attend the Super Bowl.

How is the job different from what you expected?

I can’t believe how catty and nasty women are to one another in this business. If men could be a fly on the wall and see what happens in real time, no one would bother with us, period.

It’s very upsetting. This is why I keep to myself when I’m working.

Do you like the work?

Absolutely! I work my own hours, travel and attend swanky functions. My clients are amazing. Thanks to them, this is why I’m still around.

Where do you hope to go from here?

I have plans to retire in my mid-30s. I might write books, teach or get back into the music industry.
