Alex has had a ridiculously long day at work. Everything that could go wrong did, and it felt so good to walk out of that office and leave all that craziness behind.
The radio kept playing a report about some escaped psycho who was on the loose, but the traffic was so smooth Alex didn’t even have to listen to the radio for long — she got home so quickly! Once she walked through the door, all she wanted to do was get her clothes off, shower, and climb into her warm bed.
The only thing on the tube was the local news, and every channel had the same thing: escaped psycho, blah blah blah. 57 channels and nothing on, she thought. There’s a gate around her community, so Alex didn’t feel worried at all. And with all that flipping through bad TV, Alex was getting drowsy. That is, until she heard a noise….
