YNOT – TLARaw.com’s New Year promotion offers affiliates a chance to make bank by promoting the adult e-tailer’s “free porn” giveaway during January.From now through Jan. 31, consumers who purchase at least $39.99 worth of physical product from the website or the parent company’s mail-order catalog will receive a bonus XXX DVD at no charge.
According to Managing Director Brian Sokel, the last time TLA gave away porn, consumer response was spectacular, which meant some affiliates saw significant increases in their revenues.
“We offered something similar in December 2008, and it was a huge success,” he told YNOT. “Customers really took to it. It was one of our largest promotions, and we’re looking to break that record this month.
“For affiliates, it was one of their stronger promotions as it encouraged larger order sizes resulting in bigger commissions.”
Special promotional materials are available for the asking, Sokel said.
The giveaway “is something we encourage our affiliates to promote, since it does help increase order size and thus commissions,” he told YNOT. “We do have creative available; affiliates need only contact us.”
A few restrictions apply to the free-porn offer. Regardless the total of the purchase, only one free DVD will be included with each order of physical product; video-on-demand purchases are excluded. The offer is valid through the end of the month, but the promotion may end sooner if demand overwhelms supply. No substitutions for or returns of free DVDs will be allowed.
In addition, the nature of the free DVDs will remain a surprise until the customer opens his or her package.
“This offer is a grab-bag surprise; however, it’s not junk,” Sokel told YNOT. “These are brand-new, unopened XXX DVDs from our vast inventory — from big studios.
“This is just one way that we would like to say thank you to all of our customers who shopped with us in 2009,” he added. “It was a difficult year financially for our customers. Money was tighter than ever, and we made it our priority to provide the best in adult entertainment at prices they could afford. This free DVD offer is just another example of our dedication to that purpose.”
