PATTAYA, Thailand – Steph Sia, host of the podcast Stripped by SIA, is this week’s guest on the Adult Site Broker Talk podcast, the show announced today.
Based in Vancouver, Canada, in addition to hosting her podcast, Steph Sia is an exotic dancer, content creator and pole dance instructor. She’s also an avid “hobby chef” who shares some of her culinary creations in the “kitchen” section of her personal website.
Steph’s podcast, Stripped by SIA, is “dedicated to destigmatizing the sex industry by sharing the lived experiences of its workers,” as Adult Site Broker put it in announcing her appearance on the show.
“As a sex worker involved in various mediums, Steph invites diverse guests from across the adult industry to provide a transparent and authentic perspective on their work,” the announcement added. “Each episode addresses topics relevant to sex workers, aiming to educate both those within and outside the industry while humanizing and legitimizing the vital work they do.”
In her conversation with the host of the show, Bruce the adult site broker, Steph touched on the political and cultural environment following the last U.S. election, which she has rattled not only the sex worker community in the U.S., but in her home country, as well.
“I’m in a lot of groups here locally where I live in Vancouver, Canada, and there’s a lot of uncomfortability with the political climate when it comes to sex workers,” Steph said. “People are feeling uneasy. People are feeling obviously disappointed. And as I mentioned earlier, threatened because this can change the course of our work… On the ground, there’s so many things that affect sex workers that we just don’t talk about.”
“It’s always great to get Steph on the podcast,” Bruce said. “She’s so knowledgeable about sex worker rights. This is one you must listen to!”
