PATTAYA, Thailand – Michael Ramos, CEO of ASN Entertainment is this week’s guest on the Adult Site Broker Talk podcast, show host and Adult Site Broker CEO Bruce Friedman announced today.
Ramos started ASN Lifestyle Magazine in 2011, establishing itself as the first publication of its kind, covering the swinger lifestyle. The brand has since expanded greatly, launching an annual awards show, additional websites and seasonal chartered cruise events.
“Michael and I talked about not only his business, but the swinging lifestyle at length,” Friedman said. “He’s a great resource about the lifestyle.”
Noting that the acronym “ASN” stands for “adult social network”, Ramos explained that when the site first launched, the company was “trying to find our niche into this market space.”
“We were hit with brick walls, a lot of resistance and stuff like that,” Ramos said. “People didn’t want another dating website or swinger’s website. So, after spending lots of money we sat there at the dinner table one night and said, ‘look, you know what, there’s no media company or exposure that’s happening in the lifestyle. Why don’t we be that source?’ That’s where it was born… we hit that vacuum.
In the interview, Ramos added that when the online magazine first started, the publication initially had fewer than 100 readers; it now enjoys a global reach of 3 million readers, a growth curve that even Ramos might not have anticipated in the early days of the company.
