PATTAYA, Thailand – Madelaine Thomas of Image Angel is this week’s guest on the Adult Site Broker Talk podcast, the show announced today.
The founder of Image Angel, a company dedicated to combating non-consensual intimate image (NCII) abuse online, Thomas is a survivor of image-based sexual abuse herself. According to the announcement of her appearance on the podcast, Thomas created Image Angel to “trace unauthorized sharing back to the perpetrator, thereby enhancing user safety and platform accountability.”
“This survivor-led deterrent has been recommended as best practice by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology,” the podcast noted in the announcement.
Thomas is also known within the adult industry as Countess Diamond, “an award-winning British Dominatrix specializing in chastity and financial domination,” the announcement explained. Thomas was awarded the Sex Worker of the Year award at the 2024 Sexual Freedom Awards and now “dedicates her free time to supporting the advocacy movement of sex workers’ rights in the UK and around the world.”
Thomas is a member of the Digital Intimacy Coalition and the Josephine Butler Society and co-founded the adult industry consultancy firm Thornhill Digital.
Asked on the podcast what the pivotal moment was that made her decide to tackle the challenge of combatting NCII, Thomas said there were “many pivotal moments.”
“As an adult worker, you are prepared for that kind of violation,” Thomas said. “It’s kind of par for the course. And however prepared you think you are for it, you’re never really going to be prepared for that breach of trust…It’s the breach of trust that is the worst part, not necessarily the fact that the content is out there, but that feeling of, oh shit, you know, that person has harmed me in a way that I now can’t come back from.”
