PATTAYA, Thailand – Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit is this week’s guest on the Adult Site Broker Talk podcast, the show announced today.
Leya was born in the UK and has been involved in the adult entertainment industry for over 20 years. Formerly an adult performer, Leya now serves as the president of the mental health nonprofit Pineapple Support. She founded the organization in 2018, following several suicides among adult performers. Pineapple’s mission is to provide free and subsidized mental health care and emotional support for all people working in the adult industry
Available for 24/7 support for all industry performers, offered without discrimination, judgment, or stigma, Pineapple Support has grown to include nearly 500 contributing therapists and to date has provided assistance to over 15,000 adult industry professionals.
In announcing Leya’s appearance on this week’s episode of the podcast, Adult Site Broker Talk described Pineapple Support as an organization that ensures “every member of the Pineapple family is cared for should they need it,” creates a “safe, caring environment where every performer can be proud” and helps to “alleviate the isolation many performers feel by supporting each other, so no one needs to feel alone.”
The organization regularly launches new support groups and holds online webinars covering a wide range of topics and mental health issues. Recently announced support groups include the “Sacred Rage” group led by therapist Stephen Mollura and the “Coming Out” online support group for adult performers and content creators, led by therapist Amy Studer.
