PATTAYA, Thailand – Attorney Larry Walters of The Walters Law Group is this week’s guest on the Adult Site Broker Talk podcast, the show announced today.
Walters and his firm concentrate on First Amendment issues, intellectual property law and a wide variety of law impacting online businesses. Along the way, Walters has “developed a passion for protecting civil liberties,” the announcement noted, with a particular focus on online speech and expression.
Walters frequently represents clients in the online adult entertainment community, in addition to clients hailing from more traditional spaces. He is often consulted as an expert on legal issues pertaining to free speech and the internet and regularly contributes commentary for TV news coverage, including appearances on NBC, ABC, PBS, BBC, CBC, FNC, MSNBC, CNBC, and CNN.
Walters also serves as General Counsel to the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, based in Washington, DC, and serves on the Advisory Council to the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP).
The announcement noted that Walters “has established and directed numerous non-profit associations and trade groups” and “his efforts in helping fight online child exploitation earned him the Annual Service Recognition Award from the ASACP.”
Walters’ practice in First Amendment law dates back to the late 1980s when he “defended numerous small video stores in Florida against obscenity charges,” the announcement observed. In 1997, he formed the Florida Bar’s First Amendment Law Committee, which he chaired for over a decade.
The announcement added that Walters Law Group is an “AV-rated (“Superb”) firm that has focused on First Amendment and adult entertainment law for over 35 years, representing clients worldwide.” The firm represents some of the largest and best-known brands in adult entertainment, along with many smaller clients.
