CANOGA PARK, Calif. – Details are scarce, but the Free Speech Coalition has issued an alert today notifying the adult industry press that an unnamed adult industry performer has tested positive for HIV.

According to the FSC, the following statement has been issued by Adult Production Health & Safety Services (APHSS.org):

“An adult performer has tested positive for HIV. This performer worked exclusively on condom-only sets. As a precautionary measure, APHSS is providing retests for the small number of performers with which the infected individual had performed. All retests have come back negative and there is no indication that any transmission — including that of the positive performer — happened on set.”

APHSS.org supports adult industry standards for performer STI testing and upholds industry protocols in the event of an exposure incident. Adult industry trade association Free Speech Coalition (FSC) operates APHSS.org.

The positive performer and all people who may have been exposed to a threat have been quarantined, she said Wednesday.

“There has been a person who has tested positive,” Mitchell noted in a prepared statement posted to AIM’s website. “There were exceptionally few partners, inside and outside the industry. All partners are currently testing negative and in adult-employment quarantine.
