Adult Film Actor Scott Finn Dies at Age 27, Family Confirms
Adult film actor Scott Finn died Nov. 23 at age 27, according to his family. No cause of death was provided in the online obituary posted by his parents, Joel and Libby Messerly.
Finn had indicated personal struggles in his final social media post on June 18. “Itss been a hard life the last year and a half with the devorce but im finally single again,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
The performer entered the adult entertainment industry in 2018, appearing in content for gay websites including Active Duty and Next Door Studios. He was open about his bisexuality and frequently responded to critics who questioned his sexuality.
In recent months, Finn had begun transitioning away from adult films and launched new social media accounts focused on cooking. His family described him as having an “immense capacity for accepting people for who they are.”
According to the obituary, Finn attended Weber High School in Pleasant View, Utah, where he was known as a “goofball” to his peers. His parents said he was “especially sympathetic to women in need” and had an “incredible capacity to help others.”
“We find some comfort in knowing his pain here is over and he rests with his Heavenly Father again,” his parents wrote. A memorial service was held Dec. 4.
