Pittsburgh, PA — Megan Wozniak, Director of Marketing for award-winning online adult retailer and entertainment site Adult Empire (AE), has been selected to join the Remote Year international tour program for professionals starting May 1, 2017.
Wozniak will continue her executive role at Adult Empire, running daily AE business from a different country every month while networking and learning from Remote Year’s unique community of individuals.Wozniak will be taking ‘The adventures of Adult Empire abroad’ and giving people the opportunity to follow along for the ride via @EmpireMegs on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. “The Remote Year program has already been Empire approved, as well as discussed with my team,” said Wozniak, one of only 75 attendees chosen from over 25,000 applicants. “I will maintain my current full-time role at AE, as well as expand my responsibilities while abroad.”
In addition, Wozniak is currently “working on solving any anticipated client issues, and for any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly,” noting that she has a webcam set up and “will also be accessible via email, Skype, or phone.”
With the motto, ‘Great work can be done from anywhere’, the Remote Year program – profiled in Forbes, CNN and Business Insider, among others – provides guidance and resources to help employers transition into a remote work arrangement, while, added Wozniak, “expanding the AE brand internationally, as well as increased potential for mainstream crossover PR.
By taking her job on the road, Wozniak and the Remote Year participants will inspire a shift from the ‘traditional’ office work environment, and “see so many more places and dedicate themselves to their job in a new way by working with team members in different regions, learning about their cultures and collaborating in new and challenging ways.”
