VENICE, CA – At the 2017 AVN Awards on Saturday night, Mick Blue fulfilled his role as the James Bond of porn: Looking suave in a tuxedo, he showed that the adult industry is classier than ever. He also proved that nice guys can finish first, winning AVN’s Male Performer of the Year for the third year in a row — the first male performer to ever do so.

AVN was quick to point out the rarity of Mick’s back-to-back-to-back win in their show coverage.

“Blue became the first man in porn history to win the AVN Male Performer of the Year award three straight times and he is one of only four guys—along with Manuel Ferrara, Lexington Steele and Rocco Siffredi—to receive the honor at least three times,” wrote AVN’s managing editor Dan Miller. “Wearing a black tuxedo and red-striped bowtie, Blue gave one of the classiest acceptance speeches of the evening.”

Mick wasted no time praising his beautiful and devoted wife and partner Anikka Albrite, calling himself the “luckiest man in this universe” before quoting one of his favorite directors.

“I also want to say every single man in this category I love you all. Like Greg Lansky always says, you’re all artists and you’re amazing at what you do and I wish we all could win.”

As fate would have it the unprecedented win happened on the same night that Mr. Blue was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame, an honor bestowed while he is still at the top of his amazing career.

“I have been shocked every year I won, but this year really so – three in a row?! “That’s way beyond my imagination. Thank you so much to everyone who helped this happen, especially AVN!”

Mick also won Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene for Natural Beauties (Vixen), with Kendra Sunderland. Best Double Penetration Sex Scene with Abella Danger and Markus Dupre in Abella (Hard X/O.L.). He and wife Anikka Albrite also starred in the Best Polyamory Movie, Babysitting the Baumgartners (Adam & Eve) Pictures.
