CHATSWORTH, CA — AVN Media Network has announced that the 2008 winter Internext will be going off the grid – or at least slightly west of the famous Las Vegas Strip and inside of the mega hip Palms Casino Resort on W. Flamingo Road.The Palms, which Vegas.com bills as “the hotel for the MTV generation,” will host the Sunday, January 13th – Tuesday, January 15th event, providing adult webmasters and associated professionals with an opportunity not only to network, socialize, and learn more about the state of the industry, but also sample some of the city’s funkiest and most fabulous accommodation, retail, and dining options.
“We’re ecstatic to announce the move to the Palms,” senior show manager Renee Johnson effused in a company press release. “We wanted to make a radical change – and this venue enabled us to do just that. From the one-of-a-kind fantasy suites to the exciting floor activities taking place in Rain, this venue has it all.”
Indeed, change is evident not only within the adult online industry but also within this annual winter expo, with perhaps the most striking example being the end of the familiar exhibition floor. In its place, the 25,000 square foot Rain nightclub will feature VIP rooms, private sky boxes, continuous on-stage entertainment, indoor cabanas, and an assortment of ever-popular fully stocked bars.
Additionally, peek-a-book showers, stripper poles, full bars, and a bowling alley await attendees who visit the resort’s specially reserved fantasy-themed suites on the 25th and 26th floors.
Not everything has been changed however. Single-track educational programming and an opening keynote speaker will keep the “busy” in attendees’ business schedules and another Live Adult Domain Auction will provide copious opportunities for professionals to expand their online presence.

Internext Las Vegas will begin the day after the Adult Entertainment Expo, held at the Sands Expo Center, closes and the Adult Video News Awards, held at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, have been presented. This year’s Consumer Electronics Show runs from January 7th – 10th.
